Our first class of the program was a great introduction to graduate school. Granted I have taken a few courses before the 'official' start, but I thought the professors were very clear in both the concepts of innovation, but also about the vigor our grad school course work. I really appreciated that our professors where straight forward about expectations and having a high bar for us to reach for.
The discussions about the articles we read for class are the best discussions I have had in college. This was especially surprising to me because it was such a large group. I have never been in a class larger than about 32 and was expecting conversation to be a bit lagging. Both student participation and the way the conversations were facilitated really made for a great understanding of the readings. I really enjoyed the game we played (as I always do!) and the discussion that followed as well.
The group project we worked on was intense, because we had such a short period of time, however I felt like our group did a great job with the time we had. Again, I appreciated the way our professor was very honest and tough with our evaluation to really show us how hard we need to be working.
Overall the course was intense, but a great way to start the program. Glad it's done!
